The sign language adapted for the tactile sense

The High School for the Visually Impaired cluj-Napoca organized a course for the appropriation of The sign language adapted for the tactile sense for the multiple sensory Impaired persons, between the 2nd and the 9th september 2010.
The course was sustained together with the organisation called Sense International, Romania, and also with the help of the Romanian Association for the Deff and Blind Adult persons.
The course takes place on two levels: the basic level and the advanced one.
This week took place the formation on the basic level of the introductory course on the sign language adapted for the tactile sense and the course addresses to the teachers working with the groups of children having multiple sensory deficiencies (blindness and deffness), the advanced level will be planned to be carried on at the end of october.
The trainers are: Ioana Tufar national trainer and Elena Gherghel the president of the Romanian Association for the Deff and Blind Adult Persons.
The course proposes the following objectives:
- The training of the specialists who work with the deff and blind persons in utilizing the sign language adapted for the tactile sense.
- Promoting a better comunication between the teachers who work with these groups of pupils and the multiple sensory Impaired persons.
- The beneficiaries of this course are 35 teachers of The Highschool for the Visually Impaired Cluj-Napoca who work with multiple sensory Impaired persons, and also other teachers of the school who want to learn the practice of the sign language.
