SLOVAKIA CUP 2010

Five pupils from the High School for the Visually Impaired Cluj-Napoca and one pupil from the sport club Lamont, members of the same team, called Hope attended the swimming contest Slovakia Cup 2010, the 32nd edition, that took place from september 17th till september 19th 2010.

Over 100 swimmers from more than 15 sport clubs from countries, such as: Iran, Kazacstan, The United Kingdom, Czek Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Belarus, attended this contest.


Our school’s team won a total of 20 medals, such as:

The first position:
The gold medal Samuel Ciorap (400 and 800 free style),
Romaniuc Ionel, one medal (500 m. Backstroke).)

The second position:
Ciorap Naomi five medals (100 craul, 100 backstroke, 200 craul, 200 individual medley and 400 freestyle).
Prundaru Petrisor two medals (200 craul and 50 butterfly).
Romaniuc Ionel a medal (400 freestyle).
Ciorap Samuel a medal (50 breaststroke).
Velecico Valentin a medal (800 freestyle).

The third position:
Prundaru Petre - two medals (50 backstroke, 100 butterfly).
Ciorap Naomi - a medal (50 butterfly).
Velecico Valentin - a medal (400 freestyle);
Ciorap Samuel - two medals (50 butterfly, 200 individual medley);
Hope Romania - a medal - Relay: 4x50 craul).

The trainers of the pupils that form the Hope team are:
teacher Emese Maniu - first trainer;
teacher Lidia Tămaș - second trainer.
